According to this (http://www.winnetmag.com/windowspaulthurrott/Article/ArticleID/42432/windowspaulthurrott_42432.html) article, Microsoft is presenting a new anti-spyware strategy. Read more for the hilarious details.
I for one can't stop laughing. The words anti-spyware and Microsoft just do not go together considering:
Super Hidden/archived internet history in Windows
Spyware in Windows Media Player
Spyware in Windows Messenger
Hidden text history in MS Word documents.
All I have to say about that article is:

Yar, it be very humorous, indeed.

They just want to clear away all the 3rd-party spyware in order to make more room for their own. Longhorn, anyone? :D
-
They could make mega-bucks if they made deals with some 3rd party survey groups.... Oh wait Billy already wipes his ass with million dollar bills. (http://graemlins/fu.gif)

This isn't news....we've always known MS can't tolerate competition. ;)
Beautiful business model they have. Create a sub-standard OS, blame problems on 3rd party vendors, and use your products to fill the gap left by the exclusion of your competition.
-
Does bill even know what the word competition is? Would it be so much of a bad thing to just donate a billion dollars to some charity or something? i mean, lets say you have 80 bucks... would you give your friend a fucking dollar or keep it to yourself?!
-
He does donate quite a bit of money I believe - to charities and such. Whether or not he does it out of kindness, or for a good public image is another story.
-
The only way we would know if it really works is if it deletes itself.

Actually - he donates alot of cash because it is a tax writeoff for Microsoft.
Do you really think bill gates gives anything away without getting more in return??
If you do - then you no nothing about his empire he's created!
-
As I recall, he gave away like half what he had.
