Too much work.  Take an ordinary stapler with a hinged base, open it up, point and squeeze.

Since the punishment for murder in countries that have an abundance of office supplies is much greater than the personal sense of satisfaction that a complete asshole would gain from committing a workplace murder.

I let one of my friends use it, and from about 3 feet away, he managed to get a pencil stuck in a tile of a drop ceiling.

You should be able to do that just by tossing the pencil in the air.

* Get a tube from the body of a pen.
* Put a pin through a cigarette filter.
* Insert in tube like you would with a typical pea-shooter
* Fire away.

You can pierce skin with it but not so much it hurts. Actually it is interesting, my friend got one in my back and I didn't notice till it felt itchy, went to scratch, and suddenly noticed a god damn needle in my back.

I don't think you can toss a pencil through a piece of ceiling tile, by stuck, I meant the pencil went through the tile.

You can stick it in the tile by tossing it. I do that occasionally at school heh...
Along with paper darts...
