Title: John C. Dvorak: End of the line for Windows?
Post by: lazygamer on 24 May 2003, 03:36
Can you belive I read such an article in pc magazine? I was amazed!

End of the line for windows? (http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,991132,00.asp)

Basically, John admits that Windows is not all it's cracked up to be(to put it lightly), and Longhorn is gonna sux0r.

This must be a sign of things to come in the near future...

I don't think that we will see the end of Windows. Microsoft has the money to advertise Longhorn like hell. A lot of suckers are going to believe that DRM will enhance your security. And buy Longhorn for all it's "cool" feautures (which Microsoft stole from KDE, Gnome and Mac OS X).

Yah I doubt Longhorn is just gonna die, but wouldn't it be great if all sorts of Windows users(the non-loser ones) would wake up just before Longhorn hit? It would be great if Longhorn became the moron's OS, much more than WindowsXP even(and it's not the OS itself that makes it a moron OS, it's who uses it).
