I was actually thinking that "hey, Microsoft does give something of a damn about world issues" until I read THIS line:
quote:
Founded in 1975, Microsoft (Nasdaq "MSFT") is the worldwide leader in software, services and solutions that help people and businesses realize their full potential. --emphasis added
Of what, pray tell, of compromises and patheticly prohibitive corporate licenses? Ah well, that's what you get for expecting unbiased news from MS...
-
quote:
.............help people and businesses realize their full potential...............
I actually laughed out loud when I read this.. :D :D
-
just a bunch of propoganda to get you to buy MS shit.

I don't know about America, but in the Netherlands, companies get tax cuts if they donate to a good cause.
So we have a double standard here. Whenever you hear about a company donating, we know that it's free promotion and they get a tax cut.

Yeah, it works that way over here too. Taxes from Microsoft make up a big chunk of America's tax coffers.
Remember that Aesop once said "He who steals with a smile is no less a scoundrel".
