Title: WinXP password recovery

i have 2 accounts on my XP box, 1 of which is the only admin account.  i lost the admin pass and need to recover it.  what can i do besides formatting and reinstall?

Not sure if this will work. But in another thread they were discussing a similar issue using Win2k, considering that XP is a modified NT kernel I would suppose the same vulnrability exists:

Do yourself a favor and dump XP after you get what you need out of the computer. If your gonna use windows, at least het NT or 2000.
