I'm building an AMD system down at my college and they made me install that shit. So now my new athlon pc has been soiled. :(

You can always delete the installation and start over. A Linux box will work on the network just as easily. The IT dept. will never know the difference. Linux is usable, but not supported. More or less b/c the IT dept. doesn't know shit about it and dont' want to feel like idiots when they're asked questions...fuck em.

I will install Linux on it after the class I'm building it in is over. I think installing Windows is part of a test that I got to take. Later on they want to put XP on it. I think I'm gonna try to test out of that class so I can get it away from all those bad Windows vibes.

Ah. Fer class. You didn't quite explain that. You shoulda asked if you would get extra credit for installing Linux.

Don't think that would work since none of them even used Linux before.
Overclocking question:
Does anyone know how far a 2400+ cpu can be overclocked with just the stock cpu fan?
The mobo is an Abit NF7-M.

look on the bright side, when xp has conflicts and crashes, and they start to scratch thier heads, pull out suse live eval and use it to check the hardware. of course when they see its not hardware just look at em and say. microsoft sucks, fuck microsoft.
