Title: Mozilla 1.3 crash, any ideas ?
Post by: HibbeeBoy on 7 May 2003, 03:36
Don't ask why I go to this website but Mozilla crashes big style when I go to www.tbn.org. (http://www.tbn.org.)

Does anyone else have this problem ?

It doesn't crash in OS X.        Perhaps it's a Flash plugin related problem. I really don't know as I failed to reproduce this on OS X.

It crashes because that is an evil website.  The Moz team deliberately engineered it to crash when visiting dangerous websites, for your own sake.

PS it doesn't crash on my machine, and I use moz 1.3

Works here
Though I've had some issues with flash
Quicktime 6 stole .swf from the flash plug-in and until I realized this and fixed it in the settings, flash pages crashed all the time.

Must be missing something. Works fine in Konquerer and Exploder. Just ordered myself 4Kg Frankensense, 2 litres of Myrh, a quart of holy water and 3 hail marys. Still cost me less than an XP upgrade.

works fine in phoenix 0.5 identifying as:
quote:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.4) Gecko/20011022 Netscape6/6.2
and i can see the flash too.

is mozilla compiled against GTK1 or GTK2? i had a lot of problems with mozilla when it was compiled against GTK2, thequirk told me it was the toolkit's fault, not mozilla's, so i doffed it and went back to slack's standard gtk1 version.

Hey, as long as were all saying it works fine for such and such, I'll say it works fine in Moz 1.4!

Oh, I watch TBN on cable, best comedy shows are on there. I wanted to see if I could find something about "Dr" Gene Scott.

BTW, started using Opera while in a Window$ environment. Pretty damn good I must say. I love the use of tabs in the browser for viewing multiple websites. It means you only have to minimise a single browser session when the boss sticks his head in the door !

I think it's probably a Window$ thing.

MOZILLA caused an invalid page fault in
module NPSWF32.DLL at 0187:0279503a.

That says it all I think.
