What Steve "Monkey Boy" Bulmer presumably thinks is going to get rid of the nasty Linux.
In the article the MS drone mentions "Added Value", so this is the sort of thing they mean.

"...would like to sell you the idea of using an amazing new input system: a "stylus" or "pen", and "ink", which taken together allow something called "handwriting"."

BTW This is a follow on to the "Linux be scared" thread, but they're talking about something else now.

PS From the same paper, a passing mention of Open Source http://www.guardian.co.uk/online/story/0,3605,798755,00.html (http://www.guardian.co.uk/online/story/0,3605,798755,00.html)

With some sales experience under my belt, I know that "value" is nothing more than spin. It is implied, intangible, and usually imaginary. This is another case of:
If you can't dazzle 'em with your brilliance,
then baffle them with your bullshit!

i wonder how many security issues that gadget is gonna have.

I can't wait until someone figures out a way to install Linux on it. *snickers*

I'd buy linux over anything MS.
Look at the sharp Zaurus as an example, i would buy it simply for having linux. But its got the same applications as the shitty Fucket PC 2002 series of handhelds.
Besides we all know who is going to port software over to a platform the quickest don't we?

Great. Now they're marketing to dipshits that are too lazy to fucking type!

"Value" is something that means different stuff to different people.
Some people value low prices. Some people value big numbers. Some people value design and elegance. Some people value bandwagon popularity. Some value stability and customization.
I value ale.
