Installing netscape can be dreadful. Last time i did this it put a shortcut to aol in just about every part of windows that you could think of. How could anyone like netscape???
-
agreed, but i don't like the netscape browser, i *really* like the underlying technologie in it, and prefer the mozilla implementation of it. but the old Netscape 4.X relaeses still arjn't that bad, better then the ie 4.0 thats most likely to be installed on that computer

Paladin9, try out Mozilla like chaosforages said. It runs like Netscape, but dosn't put any AOL crud anywhere. Hey, ever thought about giving up windows? There are suitable alternatives to the windows OS you know.
-
You should try Opera - it is a very good web browser that has very few rendering problems.

if you could find them... :D

Netscape is fucking SLOW, at least on my machine so why even bother getting it? There are better browsers out there, with Mozilla being one of the best. Others include Opera, Phoenix (although I haven't tried it) and many more. Once again, why bother with Netscape? Ditch it and get a better browser. Personally, I'd choose Mozilla over anything. :D

ican confirm phoenix to be the best browser i've used so far, except for maybe galeon, but i prefer the 'feel' of phoenix.
phoenix 'is' mozilla, but with a lot of advantages, so i'd go for that.

If you put Mozilla on your PC make sure you use Quick Launch in Windows. I have no problems in Linux, it loads fine.
Mozilla r0x0rs j00 p4nts!

make sure you use quick launch in windows?
make sure you don't use quick launch at all by using it in linux, i'd say.

Pheonix is to PCs what Chimera is to Mac's. FAST!
