In the LA Times today a tiny wee paragraph states that M$ won't have to bundle JAVA while it appeals after a ruling by the US 4th Circuit Court of Appeals.
What was the point of the ruling in the first place ?
-
The courts said that M$ was being monopolistic by not including Java in Windows. So the courts forced them to put it there. M$ is appealing, but doesn't have to include Java while the appeals are going on.

mama, can we get a pet lawyer? oh please, oh please, mama?
Of course, Billy, but you must remember to feed your lawyer every day. If you do, he'll take good care of you for his whole life.
Oh really, mama? I can have a lawyer!?!?
Yes, Billy.
Wow! Me and Paul are gonna go start a company and run everybody else out of business!
Good boy, Billy. Your father taught you well.

Mmmmmm....How much do you wanna bet this (like other court cases) will take forever in the making, i think Microsoft sees this as a loop hole of not including java. Microsoft is hoping that java will cave to Gat.....errr...Satan's orders.
