Title: SUSE headaches continue

this os is freezing more than windows. if i try to resize video, Lock up
opening i was moving my aim bar, lock up
opening an online document, lock up

WTF!?

my system is hardware healthy this im sure of..

also this seems to happen while something else is open

example:
while xmms is running, i try to scroll down on my aim and then lock up.

thats interesting. I have never had that problem with SuSe 8 or 8.1.

In the console, run Top.
See if there aren't any processes which consume nearly all of your cpu cycles/memory.

hmm..doenst look like anything is killing resources. i think it may be my motherboard, im running an orignal athlon 700 thunder bird w/ a slot a dfi motherboard

I think you have a video driver problem.  

As I posted before, have you tried to turn off video acceleration to troubleshoot?  Are you using standard XF86 video drivers?

Have you tried to switch off AGP?
