one of my friends just told me about a new P2P file sharing program called edonkey.you can get it at edonky2000.com (http://edanky2000.com)
and they also have a native linux version. i have yet to get it to work but i am trying and will post more on it when i figure it out.

It sucks. Don't bother.

I use GTK-Gnutella. For me at least, it works prety damn good.
-
it's great. only usable on windows though. get your files from sharereactor.com

i don't really like gtk-gnutella that much, am i missing something obvious?
i had a linux using mate who swore by edonkey (but then he mainly downloaded TV episodes).

I use that... but i have used WinMX under WINE, because it usually finds more results than gtk-gnutella.

WinMX sucks, use KaZaA Lite (http://frankscorner.org/wine/modules.php?op=modload&name=Sections&file=index&req=viewarticle&artid=22&page=1) (compatible with Wine).
(for KaZaA Lite in Dutch, click here (http://www.kazaalite.nl/kln.htm))

i couldnt get kazaa lite to work in WINE.... but i use gtk-gnutella most the time anyway because it has a version for linux and i dont want to promote software that is only available for 1 OS.
