Apparently, somoneone working at microsoft was fired because they posted a picture on his blog of some G5's being delivered to a microsoft print shop. Read the article here (http://www.pcpro.co.uk/?http://www.pcpro.co.uk/news/news_story.php?id=49508).

This is insane. Unfortunately, it's not surprising that freedom of speach is in such a bad state, with laws like the Patriot Act and the DMCA.

I really feel sorry for him. I hope he finds another job soon. Perhaps at Apple?

'To my mind, it's an innocuous post. The presence of Macs on the Microsoft campus isn't a secret (for everything from graphic design work to the Mac Business Unit) and when I took the picture, I made sure to stand with my back to the building so that nothing other than the computers and the truck would be shown - no building features, no security measures, and no Microsoft personnel.'

Microsoft acting in a petty, childish, vindictive manner? WHUDDA SURPRISE!

This Michael Hanson should have known better, after all, he's been on the "inside", knows all about the corporate culture.  (http://tongue.gif)   They'd never admit that Winderz isn't the solution to every last problem, including those that the Mac have traditionally excelled at: graphics. After all, they still don't admit that they use FreeBSD systems, or that they contracted out to a service that uses Linux.

Still, he shoulda covered his tracks better    If only he was guilty of writing bad code, now that's something Microsoft has never fired anybody for.   :D
