Hi. I have two questions, and I ask if you'd please help me with it.
I've got 4 OS's on my comp: win95,mandrake 8.1, Linux From Scratch 3.1 and Slackware 3.1.0.
Where can i get the 'kernel headers' my linmodem software asks me for ? it should be in /usr/src/linuxversion or in /usr/src/linux,
as i saw on my slackware distro, on which i had chosen to install the kernel source (K package).
But my /usr/src/ dir is empty, exept for an RPM dir.
The linmodem readme said it should be on the distro CD, or it could be downloadable somewhere ... do you have any idea ?
And, how can i prevent X from starting at boot time ?
Thanks,

Go to the file: /etc/inittab. Look for a line that looks like this: id:5:initdefault. Then all you have to do is change the '5' to a '3'. This will kick you into Run Level 3 when you start up. That's the non-graphical command line mode.
