Title: Installing RedHat from HDD
Post by: Agent007 on 22 September 2002, 23:06
Hi

I have copied the Redhat 7.3 (3 CD pack) on the HDD...Am planning to run the install process from there. Following are the directories created:

F:\RedHat
F:\RedHat\base
F:\RedHat\dosutils
F:\RedHat\images
F:\RedHat\RPMS
F:\RedHat\SRPMS

Next I went to DOS mode and ran the autoboot.bat from the folder F:\RedHat\dosutils. The installer asked for the partition, I put hda6 and then it asked for the directory path where the ISO images are stored.....Do I have to convert the *whole* thing to .ISO?? In that case, how will I be able to run the autoboot.bat?
What directory path should I give?

pls help!

thanks,
007

ummmm. i dont know but maybe you have to have ISOs and the dosutils (copy the first disk to ISO and files in separate place).
