Post by: Doogee on 2 February 2003, 18:35
Hello

Ive got Apache serving a website to my local network (a whopping 4 workstations) but what i need now is a way i can set up another site on the same server.
What i need to for my sister to be able to login using [insert protocol] and upload her stuff to http://dans-computer.lan/jessica (http://dans-computer.lan/jessica)

1 How do i do this
2 which protocol? FTP? SSH?

keep in mind this is only for the local network and should not be able to be logged into from the outside internet.

what os is he useing? I would suggest maybe an ftp server. I personally use vsftp and it is easy to set up. All you would have to do it uncomment some lines and add her to your users.

If she's using Linux I'd suggest NFS. Otherwise samba.
