and they are all compiling errors.
in apollon, when i try to compile, i get an error saying
i tried using different prefixes, but they didnt work.
AND while installing XFce, i kept getting
this error, i tried googling, but i couldnt find the gobject thing.
if anyone can help me, please do

yeah, take those binaries, you will save time

as the rest said, binaries are your friends.
and this coming coming from an ex-gentoo user.
you might have to track down the location the shared libs are installed, and use the "--prefix=/usr/whatever/blah" flag in ./configure.

but i cant find an apollon rpm for suse 9. any idea where i might find it?
