Title: SuSE Linux: image viewer/manager
Post by: Cyberian on 8 July 2004, 10:50
Currently running SuSE Linux 9.1

The distro uses Konqueror to view images.  Is there a image viewer/manager available that will allow me to go back and forth each pic with zoom in and out?  Something simular to Win XP's built-in image viewer would be nice.

Take a look at Pixie. Mosfet's website is currently extremely backwards and old, but there are recent RPMs on rpmfind.net.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I will take a look at Pixie.

EDIT: Looks like Pixie is not available for SuSE 9.1.  Or at least for the moment.

More suggestions are welcomed.

kuickshow (http://kuickshow.sourceforge.net/).

ScrollWheelUp/Down - Scroll through images.
PgUp/PGDown - As above
[Enter] - Slideshow mode
[M] - Maximise
[Space] - Open File Manager in current path

This should be installed on you system, I think it is provided by kde-multimedia?

Also, you may like to try Danpei (http://danpei.sourceforge.net/)
