Title: Keyboard map questions
Post by: Master of Reality on 27 December 2002, 03:30
alright.
Just a couple general questions that i havent found the answer to.

What is the "defkeymap.map" is it the us layout or is it just copied from whatever layout you choose (when running kbdconfig)??

Is there some way to put specific commands in the keymaps. I know you can put something like this in the map (or use "loadkeys":
keycode 125 = Decr_Console
keycode 126 = Incr_Console

and that would set the windows and menu keys to go to last console or go to next console. But is there someway to make it do a command like "mail" or something (with arguments).

run "showkey" on the console. Then hit the key you want the code for.
