Title: RedHat XFS
Post by: Neuro7 on 18 August 2002, 20:21
Has anyone tried out the RedHat Sgi XFS version of linux? Is there any compatibility issues with other linux versions or linux packages? Does it come with the same install packages as RedHat 7.3? Any info or opinions would be appreciated. I am thinking of trying it out, but wanted know if anyone else had tried it yet and what they thought about it.

Thanks,

o yeah, its sweet and fast, if i didn't have to worry about all the other stuff i have on my redhat install id use it, wait a minute, i don't, only the gnome2 that i installed, doh, but ill probably recompile it anyway. becuase my mp3s are on a 10 gig rieserfs drive. and i only had slight problems with 7.2 version of it. maybe the 7.3 xfs would be better

Do I use the RedHat 7.3 XFS install disk instead of the original RedHat 7.3 install disk? Or do I install RedHat 7.3 then use the XFS install disk?

Thanks,
