I dont want to turn this into a linux help forum but i just wanna ask one question:
How do you modify the boot screen (lilo?) that comes up and lets you pick which os you want to load.
Someone told me to modify lilo.conf. I changed it with the root and the changes still dont take effect. Can anyone please help and ignoramus like me?

After you modified /etc/lilo.conf did you actually *run* lilo (e.g. # /sbin/lilo)? Also do a "man lilo" and "man lilo.conf" for more info. If you still can not get it, please give more specific info on exactly what you would like to do and I'll try and give you specific info on how to do it.
