Title: video questions, ati mobility 320m
Post by: hnugz on 13 December 2003, 08:53
I have knoppix installed on my emachine m5310 laptop.  The video card is a radeon mobility 320m ui card.  i am running quake2 with winex but if i run anything but software i get about 1 fps.  i am assuming i dont have hardware acceleration on.  First of all, where can i find the video configuation in knoppix?  how do i know what video driver im using?  is there a good place to download recent linux video drivers?  they dont have them on the ati site or the emachines site.

to find out what video card driver you are usin bust open a text editor and open /etc/X11/XF86CONFIG scroll down tell it says driver and that the driver you are using. I am not very familure with knoppix so i dont know if it has a gui tool to do that for you. Also for a driver try google thats probally the best place to look for one.
