ok...i've had more than enough of windows....time for linux! However my move to Linux will be slow because I have a very busy schedule. So the 1st part of my move is to learn linux without installing it. Thats why I have 2 questions:
1. Which Linux version(s) is the one that I can install IN Windows so that I can learn it as a regular program. And I don't mean using something like Virtual PC to install a Linux version in a virtual computer in Windows. I mean I think I heard of a Linux version that's installed right into Windows. So I need to know what it's called and where I can download it.
2. Also I would like to know which linux version is one whose ISO is burned to a CD and can be booted into a bootable linux enviornment without having to actually install it on the hard drive.
Thanks

I think you are confused with point #1. There are versions which can be installed into the windows fs, like phat linux. Linux is an operating system, you don't run it as a program in windows.
However, there is a system called cygwin which puts a unix-like layer onto windows. Maybe thats what you are thinking about. It sounds the closest to your description.
For #2, you are talking about knoppix.
