ok people, now that ChoasNETOS has a working version of XFree86,/*which unlike the kernel 2.4.18, is going to stay, cuase i think i did it right*/ which GUI should i start working on getting to run, Gnome2 or KDE3

You are gonna get 50/50 replies here, just make an executive decision.
-
I like kde3 just for the record. Although i never tried gnome 2.

I like both Kde and Gnome. But for some reason I think Gnome is easier to use and navigate, more Mac-like if you will.
Kde is snazzyer looking tho.

umm, its not going to be 50/50, cuase there are more then two great guis, wait aminute, i asked about gnome and kde, let me expand the question, what gui out of all the linux gui's should i use and what libraries/*like qt3.0.5, and gtk2 and 1*/ would make for the most usable system

i don't want to install every possible gui, i want to use maybe 3, at the max, comeon, more people need to vote on this/*im giving you a chance to help design a sweet uber 31337 linux distro, or i can't make up my fscking mind about this cause its a major decision, that will either make or break ChoasNETOS*/
though, i still have to say thank you for the input

Because IcwWM is better! Or is it just me?

Gnome or blackbox

enlightenment for sure ;)
-
xfce!!!!
i mean have something else on there as well, but gods! don't have enlightenment as the default GUI! that would be torture!!! (i mean have it as an option, for sure...)

I prefer KDE 3.0 atm.
The only serious competitor is Enlightenment for me - I tried the other popular ones but I don't like 'em. I've got an old version of Enlightenment though, and that one's not as good as KDE IMHO. I'd try a newer version, but I'm convicted to eternal (well, maybe not eternal) 56k hell, so that's not really an option.
My system is in need for a reinstall though (this is still my experimental install, back from my Win/Linux-dualboot-days - and not everything went well, leaving me with a decent amount of garbage). When I finally do that, I'll use a recent distro, with hopefully a recent Enlightenment too.

if it wasn't for the 56k prob, you could always try ChoasNETOS, its fast, well, as fast as it's gonna be able to be boot straped on a i586 machine/*damn amd for making the k6-III i586, it really kicks ass, owell, tim to upgrad to athlon, but then agian, ChoasNETOS is for those who have a k6-III processor and want a system compiled and optimized for i585, probably not for everyone, maybe one other person owell, endplug

well, i though, and though, and though more on configureation and ease of use, im using gnome2. thou i might use gargnome to build the phuker
