This is ironic. Despite our family's history of windows(and a father who won't even touch a mouse), my Mother would much rather use Linux then Windows, simply because she can't get over the moral implications of using windows without paying. :D
Im sure most of us have parents who woulden't touch Linux. (http://smile.gif)
So her comp is a pentium 200 MMX with a 4MB video card, 64mb ram and Windows 98(or was that 95?).
It's my job to master Linux, so I can teach my Mom. Now I know some distros are more friendly then others, but in the end, if you can find Debian(ultra geeky) easy, then you can make a distro as user friendly as you desire right? IMO(could be wrong) Linux user friendliness only means the distro makers cut a bunch of corners to make less to learn for people fresh from wind0ze.
Thus if I know everything there is(good luck), I could take Geek 2.0 and alter it then show my mom a bunch of shit. I mean if it uses KDE, it uses KDE. I doubt I can cut corners and use a slower distro on a weaker system like that.

I think LibraNET will work fine.
You could install slakcware/debian with IceWM/WindowMaker for optimum results.
I would suggest sorcererr linux, it compiles everything for you using a menu, but you probably aren't up for the challange.

ummm, debian+windowmaker, it only takes a little bit to set windowmaker up, and it is very intutive, and debian runs quick on my 60mhz dell, so it would be good for that.
