Title: USB camera in Linux
Post by: RudeCat7 on 8 September 2002, 21:30
Anyhow, score another one for Linux!

I finally got around to hooking up my Fuji Finepix 1300 to see if it would work, and it does.

But there still a bug I can't figure out. Maybe someone here knows what's up.

Suse linux 7.3
hotpluggin' enabled
Mass Storage Device supported in kernel
camera is /dev/sda1
mount point is /proc/bus/usb/dcim/fuji_100

problem so far:

Usually the first picture is o.k., but others are "hit or miss" or get corrupted and can't be read.

Any tips?

hmm, try gphoto2, its awsome and works better then kodaks software on my dads cam, considering the very fact that the cam is in the "experimintal" side of gphoto2
