Title: Microsoft has all the answers!

This document is a bit outdated, but I wanted to share it with you.

I couldn't find the original Microsoft version, but I found one with an added response to it   :D

Rather old, but interesting.
Want some high performance journaling file systems(NTFS doesn't even count here), well here are a few available in the 2.4 kernel tree:
ReiserFS
XFS
JFS
Ext3

All of these will easily outperform NTFS.

I think MS took the original off of their site back in 2001, when most of the points presented were proven wrong.

It's still an intresting read in my opinion, though.

it's pretty pathetic, Microsoft ignores quite a lot of relevant stuff here, while grasping at the few straws sticking out the edges. Again, open source means people can see your mistakes. Even if linux was a company, agressively trying to poke holes in Microsoft's software, they would have a slightly harder time due to not having the source code.

Also, Microsoft are trying to have a fight with only one person involved! Linux is not a company! It will not fight back! It is not even in competition with windows! Plus, why does Microsoft immediately use NT in all its arguments, despite probably selling a lot more copies of 9x? (i am guessing that this document was written before they announced that they were no longer supporting 9x)

It doesn't make sense.

that article is too old to compare...
ALL (or most) of the issues about linux have been fixed now. None of the problems of NT have been fixed, but made worse in most cases (winXP)
