Title: M$ Running Solaris
Post by: markdcc on 14 May 2002, 21:29
According to Netcraft's OS/Webserver detection, acttnetra.rte.microsoft.com is running Netscape Enterprise server on Solaris.

http://uptime.netcraft.com/up/graph?host=acttnetra.rte.microsoft.com&port=80 (http://uptime.netcraft.com/up/graph?host=acttnetra.rte.microsoft.com&port=80)

Who knows what this server is used for, but maybe this was one of their buy-outs(like hotmail) that their worthless devlevopers haven't been able to convert to win2k yet.... or maybe they have just learned that IIS is shit.

And http://www.wehadthewayout.com/ (http://www.wehadthewayout.com/) is a riot! I found it at http://newsvac.newsforge.com/newsvac/02/04/06/1551254.shtml (http://newsvac.newsforge.com/newsvac/02/04/06/1551254.shtml) which also lists an M$ site running Linux in addition to the one you found.

In the beginning, www.wehavethewayout.com (http://www.wehavethewayout.com) was running Linux, then it switched to Windows and IIS, and promptly crashed within 10 minutes.
