MS loses lawsuit (http://biz.yahoo.com/rb/030811/tech_microsoft_patent_5.html) about patented stuff included in MSIE.
To be honest, this looks like just another BS software patent suit that is crippling software development, but it is interesting that even the mighty MS, with its committment to licencing and IP (as they said when they shelled out $$ to SCO during SCO's war on open source) isn't immune to this.

That's not enough!

Exactly, if you have $50, and the government fines you 50

are you people insane? M$ is on the good side of this battle (im very sorry to say)
The suit, originally brought against the world's largest software maker in 1999 by Eolas Technologies Inc., charged that Microsoft had used Eolas' patented Web browser technology which allows other mini-applications to work with Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser, according to court documents.
Mozilla could be next, or Konqueror, or Safari. Anything that supports browser plugins according to this statement.
