Damn man . Thats more than a hardware can handle lol.

I would leave my PC on but i dont mainly for two reasons.
a) A year ago i had my Vid Card fried cause of a thunderstorm, even though i have 50 dollar surge protector/backup power.

b) I did some tweaking with the deamons but am not sure if my system is still secure.

btw Voidman check you mail. I send you the link

I was at 66 days according to my netcraft survey, but Im only at 34 days now. The single thing that helped my uptime the most was the purchase of a UPS. Now I dont have to worry about anything if the power is out for less than 45 minutes.

Well my users would hunt me down and killed me if I turned that server off at night. Not to mention it's not good for business if you turn your web server off at night.  (http://smile.gif)   And yes, UPS is key, however it won't take a 6 hour outage.

If you have enough space...

The DIY UPS! The only limitation is how many batteries you can have in your room  (http://tongue.gif)

That reminds me of the 400 watt inverter I just picked up for my camping trip this coming weekend. It has two 110 outlets and plugs into your lighter (or battery clamps for heavier loads). Only $28 at Sams. Let's see car batteries aren't that expensive so for under $100 you could have a nice UPS that would last several hours.

You could also plug a battery charger into one of the outlets so you can keep the battery charged when the power goes out. Then you have infinite UPS capabilities.  (http://smile.gif)
