well, for those of us who want to know how to pronounce the name of our favourite graphical user interface, you can click one of the following links:
Link one (http://www.boomspeed.com/calumw1l/x11.x11)
Link Two (http://www.boomspeed.com/calumw1l/x11AliG.x11)
Link Three (http://www.boomspeed.com/calumw1l/x11aussie.x11)
Link Four (http://www.boomspeed.com/calumw1l/x11scottish.x11)
NOTE:- These are mp3 files, and if your mp3 playing program detects file types by their extension (ie by looking for '.mp3' at the end of the filename) then you are out of luck and you're probably using windows anyway, so nuts. Oh alright then, just change the filename so there's a '.mp3' at the end and it'll all be fine...

Hmmm LIN-US? I pronounce that as LY-NUS. Funny, he pronounces TORVALDS the same way I do "TOR-VOLDS". In addition, we both pronounce Linux the same way "LIN-IX". :D
The dude sounds Russian. Very cool, I thought he would sound like some American dude.
-
he's not from that far away from Russia now you mention it...
-
yeah i too thought he sounded russian, where's he from anyway? it was somethin like sweden or some place around there.....

Find out all you want to know about the man himself and the creation of his little programme.
Amazon.com - Just for fun, Linus Torvalds (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0066620732/qid=1026748131/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_1/102-7531522-7022521)
It's a entertaining read, in as much as what he says about various people, and their products, and what he leaves unsaid.
