Title: NAT (ip Filtering) for SuSE
Post by: mskarl on 15 March 2002, 03:29
I have SuSE 7.2 Pro and was wondering how to tell if  I can use it for a NAT machine?  I'm still very much a beginner but have been reading alot.  I want to set it up so that I can use NAT on it.  Anyone have any idea on where to read about this or how to do it?

Thanks!!!!!

read the man page and search google for the command ipchains

in ipchains NAT is called masqueade....it changes the from address of the TCP header.

if you are having trouble set the permissions to allow all then tighten things up.

good luck
