Title: How to find out if Linux runs on a laptop
Post by: dieterjanssen on 1 February 2003, 23:06
Hi,

I have a Sharp Actius GP22W laptop. I want to install Linux on it. I tried to install Mandrake 8.0 but that failed. How can I find out which distribution will run on my laptop ( like Suse or Redhat )

Thanks,

        Dieter Janssen

Check the Hardware compatibility List (HCL) on the distributions homepage and also check out www.linux-laptops.net (http://www.linux-laptop.net)
