Title: RedHat being bought out by AOL? Tell me it isn't so...

Just like the day RedHat IPO'd, I don't know quite what to think of this one... I did send a nasty note to AOL quite some time ago because you could only use their service if you had a Winblows box, but I didn't think they would buy out RedHat in response to my angry note!  (http://smile.gif)

Well we'll see if it really happens.  I personally don't think it will. The nice thing about it is, if they do get bought out by AOL, I can just switch to Debian and keep on truckin.  Another nice thing is instead of all those AOL users running MS/IE they'll be running RH/NS.  It will also mean all those crappy web sites out there who are only friendly to IE will have to change their coding or lose business. Yes!!

My friend told me about this today. He made it sound like they already did though, so I'm hoping they don't because...you know, it's AOL.

AOL has completely denied this:
