I am in to making movies, right?
Is there something I can use in Linux to play those movies?
Formats: mpeg, wmv(Windows Media Video), .mov(Quicktime format)

Not only can you play them in Linux with many different players, you can also make them in Linux. I think the best player is "MPlayer". If you have RedHat 8.0 see my "apt-get" instructions for installing it:
http://voidmain.kicks-ass.net/redhat/redhat_8_apt-get_must_have.html (http://voidmain.kicks-ass.net/redhat/redhat_8_apt-get_must_have.html)
Or if you don't see the MPlayer web site:

Apps to create/edit movies that I like are "Kino" and "Cinelerra":
