this disk has saved my ass, i would recomend that you go out and download it for yourselves, i can mount ntfs partitions and write to fat32 ones. i used it to help "fix" winxp, or back up his files before i used 666 white candles and a red marker to install winxp agian. yes, i am no longer a holy, for i have installed winxp, father please forgive me

I have a failing Fujitsu hard drive. In order that I still be able to use the machine, I needed a diskless Linux. Although it can be used as a rescue/repair tool, KNOPPIX is also a full featured Linux workstation that runs 100% from a RAMDISK and CDROM (--with knoppix noswap at boot)

What are the minimum system requirements?
Intel-compatible CPU (i486 or later),
16 MB of RAM for text mode, at least 96 MB for graphics mode with KDE (at least 128 MB of RAM is recommended to use the various office products),
bootable CD-ROM drive, or a boot floppy and standard CD-ROM (IDE/ATAPI or SCSI),
standard SVGA-compatible graphics card,
serial or PS/2 standard mouse or IMPS/2-compatible USB-mouse.
KNOPPIX also contains Nessus. I am composing this from the diskless machine and it is very stable.
