Title: Windows Network Browser in KDE?
Post by: billy_gates on 29 December 2002, 12:51
I want to make a network link sort of like there is in Windows on the desktop of my brand new SuSE Linux 8.1 KDE installation.  I find that typing smb://workgroup does not work in either KDE or Gnome as it did before and I am stumped.  The only way i've found to access windows shares is by typing mount -t smbfs //server/share /mnt/share and that is not good for browsing with.  Yes I have set the samba windows shares setting in the KDE control center.

would you be so kind as to elaborate a little, I could not find anything about lisa and relisa in the KDE Control Center.  and I know I would be lost when it came to configure them.

Linneighbourhood (http://www.bnro.de/~schmidjo/) should do the trick methinks, see if you like it.
