Title: Getting rid of icons
Post by: black-heart on 26 May 2003, 06:46
Mandrake 9.1
I get a hda1 icon which is my winXP partition NTFS dynamic.
Apparently i can't use this, and it wont mount, but that doesn't worry me in the slightest.
I am just sick of the icon being there and don't know how to remove it.

Any ideas?

Is the NTFS partition mounted? If it's mounted then it works. As for the keyboard problem, it propably has something to do with the 'delay' settings for your keyboard. I believe you can fix the latter from the Mandrake Control Center.

edit: I just read that the NTFS partition won't mount. You could also delete your icon manually from the Terminal.

I got rid of it under the mandrake control / appearance settings you choose which mounted / uinmounted icons appear onscreen.

Thanks anyway for your time.
