Why is the forum screwed again?

well as i understand it, half of the old unix threads are not showing up on the list, and i want them all to come back.
as far as i know (know i hacve finally cottoned on) the only way to bring them back online is to visit them by typing the urls in manually, and then replying to them. if i delete my reply, then the only change that will have occurred is that they will apear in today's active topics for that day, and they will also come back online in the unix index.
This is what i plan to do. i'll resurrect some old threads that are offline by putting in the thread numbers, which void main pointed out are sequential, so easy to guess. My query is whether anybody has a list o the ones that have already been done?
as i mentioned roughly half have been done, but qwhich half?
Also, many of the old threads are quite worthwhile, so i don't think resurrecting them is a problem to be honest. I'll try and do it when not many people are online so as not to fuck people up too much.

you could probly easily write a script that will visit and post at each thread. And since you are a moderator there is no flood control on you so you can do it as fast as your connection will let you. Just make an "ITM" message in every sinle thread maybe (even if they are already done?) or would that not be beneficial?
