We're writing arguments in my english class, and now we have to write a "proposal argument" and I chose to write mine on switching all the internet computers at our local library to linux. There are about 250+ computers there and they all run windows NT 4 and netscape 4.x currently and it's horrible. Netscape renders a lot of web pages terribly. I'd propose that they move to Linux and Mozilla. I need some sources to quote about Linux's security compared to windows. (some statistics on # of defacements of windows vs linux would be good) I also need perhaps an example in an article of a company or a school or a public office switching their computers to Linux. Oh, and something mentioning the cost savings of linux compared to windows licenses. Anybody have any good articles/links?

Huh? Why not Windows XP SP1 and Internet Explorer 6 like Zombie9920 would recommend?
I thought the phrase was: "Open source NEVER" (http://tongue.gif)

Anyway, pick one (http://www.google.nl/search?q=%22windows%22+%22linux%22+%22is+better%22&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=nl&btnG=Google+zoeken&lr=) ;)

You need to get with Bazoukas. He just finished something very similar in his college class. I'll bet he has tons of resources. In fact he even did a powerpoint (ooimpress) presentation on it. You could do a little plagiarizing. (http://smile.gif)

If you copy what someone wrote, its plagerism.
If you copy what many people wrote, its research.
