Did you read the install instructions on www.vmware.com? (http://www.vmware.com?)
After you install the RPM you need to run the "/usr/bin/vmware-config.pl" to configure vmware. Once you have it all configured you just type "vmware" to start up a vmware session where you can install a "guest" OS. You can then create an ICON on your desktop for the session if you wish. Check over the docs and FAQs on www.vmware.com (http://www.vmware.com) and if you still have questions let me know. I've been running it for a few years now...
