-
Right click the bar, then go to preferences.
Change Location to 'top', alignment to 'cenntre' and length to xx% of screen.

ok thanks for the reply. Now would you have anyclue about the bar going accross the top of the screen?
-
Right-clicking the desktop and choosing "enable desktop menu" gives such a bar on top. I don't know if it's the same, the one on the screenshot seems to have more options, but I think it is.

thanks again. Now for what i think is my final question. Is it possible to put the programs that you are running at in the top bar instead of having them down in the bottom bar? Also how bout the clock up there to?
-
you can drag the bottom panel to the top if you want. or if you still want open programs at the bottom you add an applet (i cant remember which one) by right clicking on the panel add>applet>
i gotta go to school but i will find out how later.

look at this (http://chatroom.fuckmicrosoft.com:8000/images/kdeq.jpg)
now... you could put the bar that i have at the bottom, at the top, and move the panel i have at the top to the bottom, but i dont think you could just put the clock at the top.
to add a bar for the programs that are running, right click on the panel-> add-> extension-> external taskbar
