whoops..

it's:
chpass [-ly] [-a list] [-s newshell] [user]

so..
$chpass -s bash root

(you can replace chpass with chfn or chsh)

and make sure it's in /etc/shells (I never used OpenBSD.. who knows, maybe they don't have it)

Also, try #openbsd on irc.freenode.net. And www.openbsd.org (http://www.openbsd.org) has an online man feature, in case you didn't notice.

You want to know how I became the "genious" as you call it?  I used to ask questions like you are, and people used to tell me to "RTFM". Once I started following that advice I became what you think I am.  However, I've never thought of myself as that. Well actually I did think that for about a day around 10 years ago but then I realized I wasn't even scratching the suface.  To this day I am *still* just scracting the surface.  So before you start thinking otherwise of me for making that statement, you may want to reconsider.  It could be the best advice anyone has given you to date.

When you RTFM you pick up *much* more than you could by someone answering your specific question.  From this point on, I will not answer your questions directly but give you hints to where you can find the answer on your own.  You have reached that point grasshopper.

void main was the "genious" bit a joke.
If it was you are comedy genius, if not then you need to learn how to spell.  (http://smile.gif)

See, that proves my point. You can't be a genius if you don't even know how to spell the freaking word!  (http://smile.gif)  I would like to blame that one on my one handed typing but it's obvious it was not a typo. Would be nice to have a built-in spell checker on this board. It would save us "idiot savants" from looking like one.
