Title: Grapevine
Post by: KernelPanic on 1 July 2002, 22:51
I've heard on the old grapevine that a version of linux is being made that can integrate with .NET. Because it (.NET) is apparently a somewhat open standard. I havn't actually seen any web-sites about it, as like i said i heard it on the grapevine, but the peson who said it was quite knowledgeable. I dont know whether this is good or bad, but it sure is intrigueing.

It's called "Mono" and is being developed by the main developer of Gnome (and founder of Ximian). It's too bad too because he is a good programmer and I like Evolution.  But I am ready at a moments notice to stop using any Gnome/Ximian product if he makes any wrong moves.
