what is the best program to dl music with in linux?
I want something like WinMX (its the best one for windows) i need shitloads of music, i'm pissed off again because when i formatted windows, i deleted 3 fucking GB of music and now i need music. I had LimeWaire with windows and it sucks shit, i dont want to use any of those damn gnutelliums, they are fucked up.

I use Limewire to get mp3s, software, etc. There is a version for Linux as well. I'm not a huge music fan so that's all I know. I just know the gnutella network has every conceivable plugin for photoshop on it.

in windows gnucleus is open source, free, and without spyware. there has been talk of creating a similar linux client. just search gnucleus and you oughta find it, though it does require the ultimate in spyware... windows.
really i have found that it's quite stable and all tho

ugh. just use the most popular MP3 prog on the net, KaZaA. There's a command line version for Linux which isn't half bad. Or, you could use Edonkey 2000 which also has some linux versions available. They're all free as far as I know. ;)

I finally found an excellant music searching program. I tried several of the Gnutelliums and found the one that actually worked and worked good. I am using GTK-Gnutella. I have yet to not find the song i am looking for (except for the songs that i dont know the name).
Does anyone know the name of the song that starts off ith 'cash' noises. Like a register opeing and a receipt tearing and money sound. Then it starts off a good bassline. There cant be more than 10 songs that start off with money noises. Does anyone know the name of this song???

Pink Floyd - Money?

hey, you also need to get another Floyd song, if yr getting that one, it's called (deep inbreath) "Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together and Grooving in a Cave With a Pict"

i would recommend gtk-gnutella and the beta of qtella, use gtk-gnutella when your looking for rare files and such and qtella becuase it returns less bullshit bullshit files. and only use lime wire when downloading divx files the swarming actually has a use but lime wire is mostly lame.

i downloaded Qtella but i dont think i actually tried it... Maybe i will now.

The Picts were inhabitants of northern Scotland and Ireland. The Scottish Picts migrated from Europe during pre-Celtic times, possibly as long ago as 1000BC. They moved into Northern Ireland during the 2nd century, AD

I got thrown out of a State Campground one time because I played that at 3:00 AM. It seems it scared hell out of some older folks; they thought the animals had joined together and were attacking. The tree cop that threw me out was laughing his ass off about that.
