Does anyone know anything about these processors being used, VIA C3 processor? I don't shop at Walmart anyway just finally got around to checking out what they were offering in Lindows and never heard of that before. Any Takers?

They are a piece of shite (no offence to any C3 owners :D )
I suggest a real processor.

Mostly rumours but I have used one once. Addmittedly I didn't test it extensively but what I did see didn't impress me much.

I have a friend on another forum who's quite happy with the C3; he's using Debian 3.0, and he had no problem with the install at all. I wouldn't expect the C3 to be any kind of a world beater, but it seems like a nice stable processer for everyday use. You have to keep things in perspective; you won't get state-of-the-art for $299.00!

I will be likely to buy a C3 chip, because it doesn't have any TCPA crap (http://smile.gif)

Lindows
They're selling a PC with Lycoris Desktop/LX... it's much better than the crap that is Lindows (http://smile.gif) I seen Desktop/LX run, it's pretty nice (still can't beat Red Hat though... Desktop/LX is meant for the absolete Linux newbie).

I was heading in that direction since Intel and AMD seem to have fallen under the winbl0ze spell

Give carbonlinux.com a shot; they sell boxes w/ Mandrake and Redhat pre-installed; prices are pretty nice.
