Ok guys, I know you must have answered this question a thousand times but please don't start cursing    . What's the best DVD decoder, player for Linux? If it has been answered in another thread could you please provide the link? Thanks!

Click on the "search" link at the top of the page. Enter "dvd" in the search box and select "Linux/UNIX" for the forum. You'll find many threads on the subject...

Thanks Tux! I found the link to the Ogle binaries in an older thread. I haven't d/led them yet but I will when I find some spare time. From what I've read in older threads though, there seem to be some problems with Xine configuration. On the contrary I've only read positive replies about Ogle. We'll see. Thanks again  ;)

MPLAYER, it is awsome, and it supports some hardware mpeg decoders, its a bitch to compile though, but it is well documented, but you might have to work some blackmagic to get it to work

Yeah, Ogle is great. I can't wait til they support interpolation for some DVDs.
