Ok maybe someone can help me.I been trying to get linux working for a long time now I have tried red hat 7.3,Mandrake 8.0,and 8.1.but everytime i install it goes good until i boot up my comp freezes everytime according to mandrake.com all my hardware is compatible,I emailed them for some support but but they never got back to me.here are my PC specs.
monitor-IBM 6547 G74
System-IBM Aptiva Model#2174
Video-Radeon 7300 32mb
sound-soundblaster live
Any help or tips is apreciated.Thanks.

what does it do. blank screen? does it freeze while linux is booting? while the computer is starting?

Linux starts to load then just goes black and freezes,sometimes i will get some scrambled colors then it freezes up..
