Title: Transgaming WineX -- The verdict
Post by: KernelPanic on 26 June 2002, 01:00
Once a can play counter-stike on linux i will be content. I can sever all links to Microsoft (Hiss, Boo).
I am thinking WineX is the way to go???
Has anybody used it and is it worth the money?
I have Mandrake 8.2 ang a GeForce 2 but that doesn't really matter anyway.

Hmmmmm... counterstrike? I dunno.
I haven't used WineX... but I have used WINE, it would not install any of my games for the sole reason that they needed DirectX. They already have the normal half-life ported over to Linux though.

I couldn't get HL to run with hardware support (only software rendering which sucks)
