I currently have Lycoris Desktop/LX and Mandrake 8.2 on my PC. I have a couple of questions:
1. Which one is better? Which one is more functional? Which one is easier to use?
2. Should I upgrade Mandrake 8.2 to 9? Is 9 stable?
Thanks.

Drake 9 is nice and hasnt crashed on me ever. I havnt used lycoris so im not really entitled to an opinion there.
If your used to Drakes bloatiness etc then u probably wont have any gripes with it.

MDrake is by far superior in my opinion.

Man there are 2 or three distros I would go with ahead of those two choices. But it's all personal preference and experience. Anything that isn't Microsoft is all good.

1a) That's up to you
1b) They are pretty equal in functionality
1c) Lycoris
2a) Sure
2b) Yes

I could list off 100 distros other than those 2, but since Mandrake is what I use, I reccommend it.

1. Yes, yes and yes.
2. If mandrake 8.2 is fine for you then there's little difference as far as i can see, but if you want newer versions of KDE, GNOME, Openoffice, mozilla etc, then this is the easiest way to do it. 9 is as stable as 8.2 as far as i can see.

If you already have them installed, why don't you try them out yourself and see if you can answer your own questions? You don't need us to tell you what to think.

yeah! shouldn't you be saying 'i have lycoris and mandrake, now how do red hat, suse, freeBSD and slackware compare?' or something like that?
